2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon molasses
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Lawry's seasoned salt
a dash of Tabasco sauce
1/2 cup water
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
Whisk or use handblender.
Simmer over low heat for one hour.
Cool for one hour and transfer to airtight container.
Refrigerate for up to one month.
This sauce is meant to be used with smoked brisket, pulled pork or ribs, but could just as easily be used with grilled chicken.
