| Beef Barley Soup
Ingredients:
- 700 g ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup pot barley
- 4 carrots, finely chopped
- 3 sticks celery, finely chopped
- 28 ounce can tomatoes
- 3 cans consomme
- 1 can tomato soup
- 2 cups water
- 1 bay leaf
- sprig parsley, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- ground pepper to taste
- salt to taste
Method:
- Brown meat and onion and drain.
- Combine all ingredients in a crock pot.
- Cook for 8-10 hours.
